During the installation process, all dirt inside the pipeline, including oil, grease, carbohydrates, moisture, dust, welding spatter, paint, etc., must be completely removed. Because if the grease in the pipeline is not cleaned thoroughly, the energy generated by the friction between any small particles and the pipe wall under the high-speed airflow is enough to ignite the grease residue inside the pipeline, causing the pipeline to explode. Therefore, cleaning and blowing work must be highly valued.

The cleaning and blowing of pipelines should be carried out in a clean and ventilated indoor environment. The cleaning agent should use 99.8% ethanol and cannot be cleaned with chloride, as the residue of chloride will affect the operation of the generator. All parts of the pipeline must be cleaned and purged without leaving any dead zones.

In the construction process, we have summarized that the cleaning and blowing work was carried out according to the following procedures with good results.

(1) Clean the welded pipeline in sections, seal one end of the pipeline and pour ethanol into it. After filling it up, soak it for about 15 minutes. After the grease is completely dissolved, pour out the cleaning agent.

(2) Wrap a lint free white cloth tightly with steel wire, dip it in ethanol and pass it into the pipeline, then repeatedly wipe the pipe wall until it is clean.

(3) Use an oil-free compressor to blow compressed air into the pipeline until the solvent and solid particles are removed.

(4) After wiping the tube wall with a lint free white cloth, check with ultraviolet light (wavelength 320-380nm) and there should be no fluorescence of hydrocarbons.

(5) Seal both ends of the cleaned pipeline, mark them, and place them in a clean and dry room.

For the convenience of pipeline cleaning, there should be a certain reserved opening on the pipeline, and special attention must be paid to not contaminate the cleaned pipeline when welding the reserved opening.


After the installation of pipelines and equipment is completed, pressure and sealing tests must be conducted for inspection. Pressure test, also known as strength test.

During the pressure test, use an air compressor to inject oil-free air (or inert gas), slowly increase the pressure to 1.15 times the design pressure, and then check all interfaces with foaming agent. If there is no leakage, it is considered qualified.
